Line-up HERE for the 2017 Balsam Range Art Of Music Festival!

We are excited to announce  the second annual Balsam Range Art of Music Festival!  Our event will be held on December 1st and 2nd, 2017 on the grounds of the beautiful Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center in Haywood County, NC.  This two day musical event will celebrate the diverse art of music.  Each evening will include a concert fearing some of the top nationally touring artists in the field of Bluegrass and Acoustic music.

Opening the festival On Friday is Mike Snider! Next, an incredible performance from Bryan Sutton and his all star band, followed by a set by Balsam Range.

Opening the show Saturday is Whitewater Bluegrass Co, followed by the 2016 IBMA Vocal Group Of The Year, Flatt Lonesome followed by an awe-inspiring set by Mr. Darrell Scott!
We are proud to bring back The Atlanta Pops Orchestra this year. The set last year with the Pops and Balsam Range was one of the most "talked about" parts of the festival! We will close out the festival Saturday night with a full set with the Pops!

Also on Saturday, many workshops will be held ranging from all skill-level individual instrument instructional workshops, to master level instrument workshops. Also, handcrafted instrument building, songwriting, dancing and more!

Haywood County is home to Balsam Range and we invite you to come visit and explore the many opportunities Haywood County and Western North Carolina have to offer.  Whether hiking, biking and wildlife viewing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park,  snow skiing at area resorts, or handpicking your families Christmas Tree from the surrounding tree farms, Haywood County has something for everyone!  There are plenty of indoor adventures as well such as touring the Biltmore Estate in nearby Asheville, or shopping in the quaint downtown area of Waynesville.  Haywood County is a great vacation getaway!

If you choose to never leave the festival or Lake Junaluska properties, there will be plenty of great activities and opportunities going on!  With warm and inviting lodging option packages on the grounds of the Conference and Retreat Center, there will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with artists and other like-minded individuals.  Jamming is always a fun and an important aspect of any music festival. The festival facilities are ideal for supporting areas for such gatherings while preventing disturbances for those wishing to rest in the tranquil beauty that the surroundings offer.

Come visit Haywood County, home of Balsam Range in December. We look forward to showing you our home and spending some quality time with you!

Buddy, Tim, Marc, Darren and Caleb.
